Spring has sprung and the sun is out — and we’re back with Smuin al Fresco! Shows run throughout April and May. Smuin al Fresco will be presented both at live performances throughout the Bay Area as well as online on our Stellar video platform. Regardless of where you live or what tier our counties are in, there will be an option for you!
Immediately following our live performances, there will be a Q&A with Celia Fushille, Artistic Director and Artists from the Company. Please plan to join us for what is always a lively conversation!
Smuin al Fresco features excerpts from Michael Smuin’s The Tempest and Sueños Latinos, as well as favorite selections from the Smuin Songbook. We’ll also be presenting a number of new works! Company alum Rex Wheeler has choreographed a pas de deux, and the program includes premieres by eight Company Artists, fresh off their successes with Choreography Showcase in March. Look for choreography by Tessa Barbour, Ian Buchanan, Maggie Carey, Cassidy Isaacson, John Speed Orr, Terez Dean Orr, Max van der Sterre, and Brennan Wall.
