Hailing from Perrysburg, Ohio, Jane Rehm is beginning her fourth season with Smuin Ballet. You may have enjoyed seeing her dance a few of her favorite soloist roles, including: Helen Pickett’s innovative and showstopping ballet Petal, Adam Hougland’s hauntingly beautiful Cold Virtues, the reprise of Trey McIntyre‘s Oh Inverted World (which was created on her in 2010), Dear Miss Cline choreographed by Amy Seiwert, and Choo San Goh‘s Momentum.

Prior to joining Smuin Ballet, Jane spent nine seasons dancing with Ballet Memphis. When she’s not rehearsing or on stage captivating audiences, she likes to visit farmers markets, spend time with the creatures at the Academy of Sciences (especially the in the Rainforest exhibit), and ride her bike out to Ocean Beach.
Jane’s favorite room in the house is undoubtedly the kitchen, and she has become somewhat of an expert on where to find the best ice cream, coffee, and craft beer in the city. She is also working towards her BA at St. Mary’s College of California to work out her mind as much as she does her body in the studio.
