Premiere Performances from Smuin Dancers

Choreography Showcase 2023 returns to put the artistic reins in the hands of our Company Artists.

Smuin Ballet dancers bring their collective passion, depth of talent, finesse, and beauty to the stage to create and perform their own new works. In this intimate, in-house performance, our dancers premiere new works created on one another and collaborate on lighting, stagecraft and costumes.

Smuin takes pride in this inspiring tradition of encouraging company dancers to explore their creativity in its Choreography Showcase, an opportunity for audiences to experience a treasure trove of stunning world premieres ranging from humorous to heartfelt. The program returns to live performances after two years, presented in Smuin’s home-base at 1830 17th Street in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood.
