Bonnie Fisk

Development Director

Bonnie Fisk has 13 years of experience in nonprofit development and administration, spanning roles at a number of prestigious Bay Area institutions such as Ploughshares, the Exploratorium, and San Francisco Ballet. Prior to that, she was a dance educator and professional dancer. For over a decade, Fisk gained invaluable development experience working at the confluence of arts and science and then nuclear weapons policy and institutional funding. And she has managed events featuring some of the most influential political figures of our time, including White House and State Department officials, members of Congress, and top political advisors. Fisk is thrilled to be applying her dynamic skill set to Smuin’s strategic fundraising activities as her career comes full circle and she has returned to her first love, ballet.

Fisk has a Master of Liberal Arts degree in Arts Development and Program Management from University College at the University of Denver and is an alumnus of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Internship Program, Major Giving and National Advancement. She is currently a mentor in the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Golden Gate 2026 Mentor Program.
