Ellen Gaintner

Ellen Gaintner is a classically trained ballet dancer from the Bay Area and an arts marketing and management professional. For over a decade, she has used her deep knowledge of ballet and extensive expertise in arts administration to expand Smuin Contemporary Ballet’s operations, serving in a variety of roles in that time. Prior to joining Smuin in 2016, Gaintner worked at Nashville Ballet and San Angelo Civic Ballet. Before switching to the admin side of dance, she performed as a member of Nashville Ballet 2.
