Smuin Center for Dance is easily accessible. For those coming by public transit, the building is within a block of four main bus routes: 22 Fillmore, 55 16th St, 10 Townsend, and 19 Polk. For those driving, metered and free street parking is fairly easy during nights and weekends. There is paid daily parking in a nearby lot.

Our adult classes are made for dancers of all levels, from absolute beginners to professionals. All adults classes are open on a drop-in basis in a safe and supportive environment that helps students grow in their craft. Teachers at Smuin Center for Dance are dedicated educators who provide a deep understanding of dance technique, artistry, and passion for the arts.

From beginning to advance, we have a class for you! Offering ballet and modern dance classes for all.

Adult Classes

Ballet classes for children ages 2-9

Children's Classes

Freelance dancer in the area? Professional dancer visiting town? This is an advanced ballet class open to the public that serves as Smuin Contemporary Ballet dancer’s daily class.

Company Class

A series of FREE classes for children that use movement-based exercises to build confidence, self-assuredness, and self-expression

Ballet Retreat

Children’s Classes

Offering six levels of classes for children ages 2-8. Our curriculum is focused on building

coordination, musicality and a love of dance. Each level progresses from one to the next

and the students should enroll in each level for at least one year prior to moving into

the next class.

 

Each semester there is a $20 Registration fee which includes a T-shirt for your dancer.
