Smuin’s The Christmas Ballet is our gift to the Bay Area showcasing Smuin’s exquisite signature style in a dazzling program of ballet, contemporary, character, Broadway jazz, and tap in two acts.
Choreography Showcase 2023 puts the artistic reins in the hands of our Company Artists! In this intimate, in-house performance presented at Smuin Center for Dance in San Francisco, the dancers premiere new works created on one another and collaborate on lighting, stagecraft and costumes.
Our season finale, Dance Series 2 is a quadruple bill presenting Michael Smuin’s striking Dream, two new works created by women–a world premiere by Amy Seiwert and Sextette, a company premiere by Kate Skarpetowska who Dance Magazine named one of “25 to Watch,” plus Val Caniparoli’s ingenious Swipe.
